“Big image without breaking the bank, and with peace of mind. This Optoma UHD300X performs really well and much better than others. We like the lens shift that allows the lens to move 10% and at this price point, no one else offers this feature. We also like the low level of noice output this projector gives off, making it very quiet. This projector is easy to install and to operate, the image has very good sharpness, with good details in the background.

October 2018

The near £1,000 Optoma UHD300X may well be our favourite piece of hardware thanks to its gobsmacking value for money.

It works better in ambient light than its big brother despite an identical ANSI lumens rating, but it also offers a picture quality that comes remarkably close to - and easily trounces - all of the other similarly priced 4K projectors we've tested.

It's impossible to fault the Optoma UHD300X - for the money you won't find something better. The picture quality, quietness and performance is unheard at the budget end of the market.

October 2018

“The Optoma UHD300X offers UHD image projection that is rarely found in this price range - Good brightness, accurate color and high brightness Thanks to high sharpness. Compared to its bigger brother UHD51, there are some deficits in the motion sharpness and HDR reproduction.”
August 2018

As a full-HD projector, the UHD300X is already an announcement. The good color management and vertical lens shift justify the price. The highlight is of course the 4K playback and the implementation of the HDR, which makes it almost a bargain.

The colour representation is exceptionally good, especially with HDR content. And, it didn’t exhibit any brightness flaring when bright elements appeared in a dark scene.

Of the current batch of affordable 4K projectors, this is our current favourite. It combines ease of use with a dynamically colourful image, all at a bargain basement price. Watching 100-inch HDR movies on it is delightful and highly immersive.

July 2018

This is a top pick from The Sun, mainly due to the incredible value on offer here. This is one of the cheapest ways to get a high-quality 4K projector, pricing in at just over a grand. If you're weighing up a decent 4K TV or an Ultra HD projector, this might swing you towards the latter.

June 2018

“We got amazing images from the Optoma UHD300x. Whether you are a cinema enthusiast, amazing colours documentary fan, HD games fan… this projector is made for you. The details are astonishing!"
June 2018

Optoma delivers a very good projector without any major compromises. It delivers fine imagery both in dark and with a little ambient light, and is physically much more compact than the Epson.

“The contrast ratio is 250,000:1 and honestly when you see how crisp and detailed, and the amount of depth that image really has, I can actually believe that.”

Wow, thats incredible

This projector was brought to be used for a wide range of applications in an office environment. Lots of spreadsheets, powerpoints, we tools, ERPs etc. The simplicity of set up is first class, setting up on a desktop or in its eventual ceiling location has been idiot proof. The unit is quiet and cool with very good native sound and a blisteringly good picture. Even the packaging was very responsible. Couriered in one box with no need for out packaging. no polystyrene and very little plastic. The remote control is a bit flimsy for a corporate environment and the it took some fiddling to get the batteries to sit correctly. I like the fact that the keys illuminate when its used. We have paired the projector with an Apple TV 4K for screen mirroring and it is working very will. Great resolution, fast switching and good sounds so no need to buy extra speakers at the moment.
